Hello Everyone. Welcome to theglucosemeters website. I grew up in a family of five. My father passed away when I was still at a very young age. One of my family members was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes whilst he was still very young. I remember my mother’s late night visits to the Emergency Room several times because his son’s blood sugar was either too high or too low. I remember always wondering what could be done to make sure that these visits can at least be reduced in frequency.
Fast forward, I grew up and went to medical school, graduated and now started working in the emergency room myself. Majority of the time, visits by diabetes patients to the Emergency Room are a results of either acute or chronic failure to control the blood sugars. I have seen many diabetes related complications that are related to poor control of the blood sugar levels. I have seen diabetes patients having to visit their doctors frequently in order to monitor their blood sugars effectively. I have also seen many patients who are diabetes and with well controlled blood sugars who do not otherwise visit the ER frequently.
I came to realization that number one reason why people have this poor control is lack of knowledge. The world nowadays is a busy place and frequently visits to health facilities for blood sugar monitoring is a thing of the past. With this website I want to help the community out there with the right information to help monitor their blood sugars better.
The main purpose of my website is to reduce complications and mortality related to diabetes and this can only be achieved by control of the blood sugar levels. We preach CONTROL CONTROL CONTROL! and this can be done effectively with the right steps. Together we can do this.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
